The newest family member is Manu - another Oriental Shorthair. He is an Ebony Ticked Tabby, (his name is Egyptian for born second) born on March 26, 2002 and he came to live with us at the beginning of August that year. |

OS (like Siamese) really do enjoy the company of others of "their kind" and I was sure that Mau would be happier with a "buddy". It seems I was right. The boys are the greatest of friends, play together all the time, share their toys, and can always be found curled up together at nap time. Manu was a very shy and fearful little fellow when he first came - running to hide when someone walked into the room and squirming to get away when he was picked up and held. |
But not any more! He has grown into another "velcro kitty" always under foot or wanting to be on my lap. Now when someone comes to visit he's there to greet them right along with his mentor Mau. |

His favourite way of getting you to stop and pay attention to him is to flop down right in front of you and roll onto his back and yell to have his tummy rubbed! If someone comes to visit he honours them by curling up in their lap, and whatever I'm doing he has to come and "help". |

He's a very pretty boy with his distinctive tabby striped face, legs and tail and the unique ticking on his body. But he too is more than just a pretty face. He is a charming and delightful companion for me, as well as for Mau, and even Princess Pandora will let him curl up with her. I'm so glad I decided that two OS would be better than one! |
